Galaxy Serene Deluxe still heating when off

Two problems:-

For some months when you turn the shower off the water has been pulsing and sounding as though water is still being heated up, as though some sort of valve is sticking and the only remedy is to switch off on the pull cord isolation switch?

Second problem th shower now only gets hot at max on the dial (rather than about half way as it used to) and hot water flow is very poor. It makes not difference whether you have the heater element dial at setting one or two - it is like one of the elements has gone but I wasn't sure if it was just one element controlled by a resistor?

Can you advise please point me in the direction of which spares I may need?

Many thanks

Hi

I think you have a micro switch stuck in the on position when you switch off your shower one micro switch keeps the power on to one of the elements and perhaps boils off some of the water inside, then the over heat safety device comes in and shuts the shower down.

In your shower this has obviously burnt one of the elements out and The other one is still sticking on ......Time for a new shower!

This is a direct replacement.
