This question is regarding Grohe Avensys Wax Thermostat Element - 00798000

Shower force 970

Suddenly all I can get is very hot water from the shower - have checked that cold water can come through (it can) so the cold water feed is ok. Would this be the thermostat?

Yes it could be the thermostat .....Hoverer......

Unfortunately the service kit is no longer available for this valve but I would be tempted to give it a strip down clean and grease before changing the stat.
