What does part no 47767000 actually do?
I did ask Grohe if they could organise the replacement for me, as they had done before but they no longer do that. She told me to source the part myself and get it fitted. Hence my questions. Sorry to be a pain.

The part above is like the gear lever in an automatic car.
You set the gear and the internals keep moving to maintain this setting.
The www.showerdoc.com/grohe-avensys-wax-thermostat-element-00798000 and the www.showerdoc.com/grohe-avensys-grohmaster-slider-piston-for-thermostatic-mixing-valves-07587000 move after you have set the temperature that you want to maintain it.
