Thermostat cartridge

Hi. I have a 10-year-old Grohtherm 2000 exposed shower. The water heat can no longer be adjusted. From time to time over the years, I've taken off the housing and adjusted the position of the cartridge but that doesn't work anymore. Does that mean I need a new cartridge 47483 or is there something else I can try? If I need to change the cartridge, is that something I can do myself or do I need a plumber? Thanks

First check that the inlet filters are clean and clear if they are then it is most likely that you are going to need a new cartridge.
