Adapting to a Imperical 3/4 copper pipe

I purched this unit to replace a 20 yr old Watermill BP100d. The original pump used threaded hoses and the new unit uses push on fittings. The issues I have is that the house uses imperial 3/4 inch pipe so I cannot just use the 22mm compression fittings. It would appear that the original install made some modification to the connection convertin the 3/4 inch to 22mm threaded hardware. My question is Can I just use 22mm threaded braided hoses so I can attach it to the existing plumbing and then insert e the 22mm male end of the hose into the press fitting on the pump

The hoses that come with the pump will fit the connections in the pump. The push in connections from the pump to the existing pipe work will have to have adapters from 22mm to 3/4 " fitted to access the pipe work.
