Sirrus 1850 - shower only producing HOT water

I have a sirrus 1850 shower, the problem I have is that the shower only produces HOT water, the temperature dial doesn’t seem to work at all, my question is, is this due to a faulty thermostat, I have tried to follow the shower doc video on how to adjust the water temperature but this has made no difference, will I need to replace the thermostat or the whole cartridge

With the Sirrus 1800 series that in almost every occasion thefirst thing to do is give them a strip down clean and lube and fit a servicekit, this will cure 85% of any problems and it is also the cheapest thing todo.

If after servicing you find out that it needs a thermostat or piston, nothing is really lost because it almost certainly needed a service in anycase.

The 1800

There is no real difficulty with this valve however it is a littlemore complicated than the 1500 just take photos as you strip it down you canthen refer to them when you are rebuilding.
