How to access the cartridge on colonial KN SHXRR C (Rigid Riser)

This shower has started dripping badly, and I wanted to descale, see if it sorted the problem and if not replace the cartridge.



a) Would this be the correct cartridge?

b) The instruction manual states "remove the headgear and spline adaptor if applicable" - I can take the middle cap out and can see a screw thread, but can't get the temperature / flow control off. It's not clear if the handle unscrews to get to a grub screw, or there's some other way of removing it. The handle seems to be fixed solid. Any suggestions for how to get to the cartridge in this model?

There is a grub screw beneath the shaft of the handle, which when removed will give you access to the cartridge.
