Dripping shower head

I have fitted a new cartridge as the shower would not stop slightly running. The new cartridge stops it but you have to really rant it shut which is difficult for my lady customer. The handle is a poor design with a very short handle so it is hard to exert much pressure. Is there some way to amuse this that I haven't noticed? The shut off mechanism is not obvious.

There is only one "O" ring that shuts of the water on this cartridge. If you take the cartridge out and turn the mechanism with the on/off handle you will see this moving back and forward.
Check that the "O" ring is not damaged and is above the housing.
