Dripping shower valve

I have just purchased from you and changed the cartridge with all relevant seals and its still dripping i did notice there were some scratches/indents on the seat on the valve housing were someone must have tried to change before. The customer has only been in flat the for a year and has said that it has always dripped a little but got worse over time. Is there any way of fixing the problem? And can i return the new cartridge? Regards

You may be able to get a bit of emery cloth into the seat to clean it up, however in my experience if the seat has become pitted (Which is most likely) then nothing will work

There is no problem in returning the part however it needs to come back in unused condition so we can sell it as new.
