sk1850-2 installed but unable to keep constant temperature
Answered 7 years ago by Barrie Seabright
I also have a shower pump. However the old cartridge was working.
How could the thermostat be fitted
Incorrectly surely there is no scope for that. It is an old boiler, not a combi. Also we have one of those torpedo hot water tanks.
Thanks for your input.

The shuttle is not part of the thermostatic cartridge ? It has not been replaced so if it was working with old cartridge why should it need regreasing?
I'm not a plumber and I may be entirely wrong. Please explain further.
Many thanks

If after servicing you find out that it needs a thermostat or piston, nothing is really lost because it almost certainly needed a service in any case.

The 1800

There is no real difficulty with this valve however it is a little more complicated than the 1500 just take photos as you strip it down you can then refer to them when you are rebuilding.
