Heritage Shower STC01

I have a Heritage Shower, but it looks like it uses the Bristan parts. I have no idea how old the valve is as I only moved into the house 6 months ago and it was already there.

For 6 months all okay but recently the shower goes cold after ~5mins despite there being plenty hot water.

Heritage gave me a new Thermostat for free and sure enough the old stat was knackered. However, the new stat has made things worse if anything as now shower goes cold even more quickly! Though this may have been poor reassembly by me.

Any suggestions? The valve only has one dial i.e. it controls the flow and the temp with only one handle which turns counter-clockwise for on and hotter. Looks like it also has a SK971006 mixer.

The first thing I would have thought of is a strip down clean lube and fit a service kit send us a couple of photos so we can ID the valve.

However double check that the inlet temp doesn’t drop off after 5mins, the temperature at the taps could still be OK however you have to ignore them as they will have a different flow rate
