seals?

Why has this 1 seal? When i replaced my seals on my showerforce 966-T, i never see this seal on this part ?

I am not sure I’ve have you exactly correct but if you mean the seal that comes with the kit, that seal should be fitted into the shower body and the shuttle rubs up and down against it
