sirrus ts1600 combi

when I removed the screw holding the temp. knob water squirted out at pressure..what could the reason be for this

There is water under pressure behind this screw and by taking this screw out you are releasing it. If you turn the shower on the force at which it comes out of this area will lessen.
 
This is quite normal for this to happen. Unless you are trying to adjust the temperature of the water you should leave this screw in place.
