sirrus ts1600 thermostatic shower valve

I have replaced the theromostat and piston SK1500-3. the water temperature before hand was variable and running cold most of the time.

Since i replaced these parts i have been getting hotter water. I have adjusted the thermostat by inserting screwgdriver down the spindle and water has got hotter. It seems that it is not holding its temperature setting as when i return the water is not as hot as i need it.

The water is hotter when i take of the shower head. i have replaced the shower head and hose and still no hot water is getting through the shower head but warmer when i take of the head.

Im really puzzled. it is opn a gravity fed sustem with a 1.5 bar shower pump. The pressure as also been effected too. PLease can you help me.

many thanks

After adjusting with screwdriver did you leave it for about 10-15 seconds to allow it to stabilise before checking ?
If the shower is supplied from a combi boiler or an unvented hot water cylinder then it may be that col supply pressure is too high, if so a pressure reducing valve may be needed in the cold supply to the shower.
