Bristan Shower

I have a Bristan shower mixer bar (installed new about 8 years ago), the temp control valve on the right hand side of the bar has locked and doesn't move at all. Fortunately it has locked on a bearable temperature for showering, but would like to be able to move it! any ideas?

I f you send us a picture or two of the shower and cartridge we will tell you which one you need as it sounds like you have a faulty one.
