DX 1/4 turn flow cartridge cannot remove back of valve

Help! Got two new flow valves because the old ones would not shut off. Took the front of the cartridges off but the back is still in the hole (white plastic?) can't get them to budge. Afraid to get too violent. The new flow valves (A952501Nu11) are one piece so would be ideal if I could get the ld ones out. How is it done please? GL

Mmmm! The originals are supposed to be one piece as well, can you send a a photo of the bits that are left in the valve and the bits that have come out then we can see if we can help.
