This question is regarding Trevi 1/2"" DX 1/4 Turn Flow Cartridge, Anti Clockwise Close

hot water wont turn off

Have replaced both hot and cold cartridges as we were experiencing flow and temperature problems but only replaced the boost cartridge last year so thought it might be the on/off ones that now needed replacing. Now can't get hot water to turn off at all! Have I over-tightened the new cartridges? No luck finding a plumber available to look at until next week so keen to have another go myself. Any ideas?

Switch the hot and cold cartridges and if the problem moves to the cold then you have a damaged cartridge. If not, then the gearing or spindle maybe damaged.
