This question is regarding Trevi 1/2"" DX 1/4 Turn Flow Cartridge, Anti Clockwise Close

Trevi boost help!!!!

Hi, i have a trevi boost which had been working fine for some years, then the water wouldnt get hot, so replaced the expensive valve((venturi?) but still no joy, all the water pressures are fine, and so is the hot temperature, if the hose is lowered the water runs hotter...... could it be the flow cartridge i need, can they go in the wrong way round when taken out and replaced ie hot into cold or cold into hot, or are they the same ????? help please its costing me loads ..... many thanks

It is unlikely that there is anything wrong with the flow cartridges.......However

 

Remove the boost cartridge, if the shower is recessed, pack round about the valve with old plastic bags turn both the cold and the hot flow valves on individually to allow the water to flush through (as long as you have the flow cartridges closed then you can remove the boost cartridge without turning the water off) when the boost cartridge is out make sure that the filters are clean.

Refit the all the bits and test.

 

If this hasn’t resolved the problem email Trevi and ask them for the installation and set up instructions (We don’t have a copy at the moment)

When you get them first check that the shower has been installed properly (Checking heights, pressures, pipe work etc.) if this is all OK then follow the set up instructions.

This is a good shower and works well, but it has to be installed and set up exactly as the manufactures instructions.
