This question is regarding Trevi 1/2"" DX 1/4 Turn Flow Cartridge, Anti Clockwise Close

Trevi therm flow control

When we turn the on/off control, it just turns around and around and does not come on. Then sometimes minutes later it comes on on its own! We have been told this could mean replacing the cartridges - any ideas?

Yes it could be the on/off cartridges that are at fault they have a tendency to tighten up as they get older.


However I think it is strange that it comes on minutes later ???


I think I would strip out the temperature cartridge and make sure that the filters on it are clear, when you have it out you can check how tight the on/off cartridges are with your fingers, you should just about be able to turn them with your fingers may be just a little tighter than that
