re thermostatic shower valve

hi i note your picture of thermostatic shower valve cartridge is this just for showing the valve or is it one actually being sold as a reconditioned one , i have two of these shower units which i am having problems with ,one seems to be working fine except the water temp does not change ,stays hot or can get hotter , the other recently the handle /knob, on/off has become very stiff and just span around have taken of the front and checked /greased plastic parts but the knob section still seems to slip round but also noted now only runs cold so would you have any ideas ,do you provide new ones , are there any kits to make repairs thank you for your help in this matter kind regards

We don't sell recon parts.

This is a unusual part and has probably been in Ideal's parts bin for some time!

In your cast the first thing I would do is strip your cartridges out and make sure that the filters are clear.

The white part of the cartridge is the on/off section I would give this a spray with silicone lubricant.

Put it all back together and keep your fingers crossed that you don't have to spent £252 on a new cartridge.
