Cartridge replacement?

Hello-our cartridge makes a thumping\rattling noise when any cold tap or the toilet cistern stops filling. The cartridge is working fine. Not sure if I need to replace it and if you think I do it's a A3101 not sure of age of it. Would this be the correct cartridge? Thank you John

This item may be the cause of the thumping.
