Thermostatic Cartridge

Looking at another problem on my Trevi Therm shower (needing new 1/2 inch flow cartridges), I found that the plastic cross on the back of the thermostatic cartridge has broken into pieces. What effect will this have and do I need a new thermostatic cartridge. Thanks, Alistair

You will need a new cartridge as this problem affects the temperature settings.
