No cold supply

My shower runs at pressure with the tap fully open, but as soon as you turn down to allow clod in the pressure falls off with the same temp water.

I have closed the hot supply with the shower running fully open and the shower eventually stops once it has consumed the hot from the tank.

Which part is responsible for allowing cold water into the shower assembly?

First are you sure that you have a cold supply coming to the shower?

You could turn off the hot supply and turn the shower on and check that you have cold getting to the shower.

In the inlet elbows there may be filters and check valves check that the filters are clear and that the check valves are working properly ( The filters and check valves were not always fitted)
