Replacing seal kit

The shower knob on my V6 is a bit stiff to move but the main thing is that there is now a lack of hot water coming through, no matter how far around the knob is turned? It would seem like most of the problems are remedied with a replacement seal kit and lube - would this be the case here? If so is it possible to replace the seal kit without removing any of the tiling around the recessed control?

Cleaning and lubing the cartridge may solve the problem, you don't need to remove tiling, and the temperature can be adjusted with a 2.5mm hex key inserted in the front of the cartridge and turned anti clockwise as per the manufacturers instructions.
