seal replacement / remove knob

how do i take apart my v6 to change the seals

It is really just a case of removing the head and unscrewing the head nut (which has a left hand thread)

These knobs however can be difficult to remove.

Once the grub screw is removed then two screwdrivers levered forward between the valve and the knob should do it.

If that doesn’t work then try a few kettles of boiling water poured over the knob that may expand it just enough to release it.

If that doesn’t work then you could try direct heat however be careful not to damage the knob.

If that doesn’t work you have two options TNT or cut the knob off with a hack saw (being careful not to damage the valve head work) and replace the knob.
