Slower flow and lower temperature

Hi, I have a Meynell V6 exposed mixer (badged as Richmond Showers) supplied with cold water from the mains and hot water from a Megaflo tank. In the last year we have found that (a) we need to turn the tap further round to get the same mixed temperature as before and (b) the flow starts okay but reduces after a minute or two. The flow to the bath and sink are fine, so I'm assuming it's an issue with the shower. Is it worth checking inlet filters first? Would they be in the elbows? What else could be wrong?

Try cleaning and lubricating the internals and check that the thermostat is working correctly. Also check the head and the hose are clear.

As with most mixer valves, equal pressures on the hot and cold feeds usually make them work to their best so this is an area you may have to consider.
