V6 vs V8
I have an leaking old Whitewater Aspen which is now I beleive is Meynell V6. Can't find the serial number on the back of the control knob and I also can't seem to find the complete V6 to buy. I was thinking of buying the V8 but it seems that center pipe on V8 is 130 while mesuring my center pipe (for the Aspen) is 120. Can you asdvise if I can buy a Safemix V8 to replace my old Whitewater Aspen?
Also would buying the seal kit SPSK0043J fit my Aspen?
Rgds,
Fabou
If you fitted the V8 you would have to alter the pipe work....which you probably don’t want to do and the V6 is unavailable so it would make sense to repair the V6.
Most of the parts are available for the V6 you don’t mention what the fault is with your shower however most respond well to a strip down clean lube and the fitting of a new seal kit.
You say that you don’t have the serial number of the valve I of course can’t be sure however the balance of probability is that it will be 18000 onwards.
