Meynell Victoria shower with internal concealed water connections

I have removed the white plastic know. Attempted to turn the first plate anti clockwise; left hand thread. Does not turn. Used Holts Rustola penetrating oil at the thread area. Used VIkal anti lime scale at the thread area also into the open end tube to fill as best I can. Used a small burner flame to try to expand the fittings to ease release the thread several times. Still cannot budge the left handed treaded first component. The last time I attempted to service and undo the fittings all came apart. I usually clean all threads after servicing the unit. Our water is hard with lime scale. To apply more pressure with a spanner would possibly damage the connections behind the shower control. One idea is to completely disconnect all pipes from the unit; remove unit and attempt all again, a long winded and fiddling job that i don't want to do at this time. Any ideas please ? Thank you

Well you have done everything I would have suggested!

However when you were using heat was the water off and the shower valve drained? if there was water in the valve it can dissipate the heat.

Also when you are heating try to heat the body so it expands and not the cartridge.

After heating, when you have the spanner on the nut try hitting the other end of the spanner with a hammer the sharp blows can often be enough to release it.

Ultimately it may have to come out of the wall!
