Noisy motor

This question relates to a Meynell (Showerstream) thermostatic unit no 974. Unit been working fine until recently when it suffered low flow/noisy operation. Have checked inlet filters (clean & clear) and fitted new brushes to the original Simteck motor. Flow & noise not quite resolved and brushes spark cosiderably. Will this settle down as the brushes wear in? Brushes last changed in sept 2010 but I can't remember if there was a bedding-in period then. If it comes to replacing motor unit what is the replacement part number? Thanks in anticipation Regards Mr JE Potier

Yes the brushes will settle in as they take on the curvature of the motor, this is a fairly old unit now so it is not unreasonable to expect some noise from the moroe.

Here is the link to a replacement Motor.
