Lukewarm shower

Hi. My 90 year old dad has this old Mira 722 shower but is only getting very lukewarm water. Pipes from the boiler to the shower are very hard to access to check the temperature but the boiler is relatively new and serviced so likely to be ok. I am considering having a go at repairing it but not sure which part to change. Would it need to be the whole cartridge? Also can this be done without needing to shut off the water supply to the shower (which might be difficult in this case). Many thanks for any information and the helpful videos.

If the boiler is new , did you have a tank system before?

If so then you will need to change the cartridge for a high pressure one. If not you may get away with re greasing the shuttle on the cartridge.
You will need to shut off the water to the shower to remove the cartridge in any case.
