MIRA Shower Unir 722

Hi, The temp. selector doesn't seem to "engage" with the unit. Moving in does not change water temp. I've removed the temp. selector housing and then turned the flow control knob. I succeeded it manually turning the shaft/spindle (part nr. 18/??) that takes the selector. This changed the water temp. Its not clear to me how the selector unit managed to rotate this shaft. The surface is just rippled (there is a correct word for this kind of finish that I last used about 50 years ago) The inside of the Selector lever is practically smooth. Does this mean the the problem is the Selector Housing Unit. Some good news please. Kind regards Edmund Burke

Sounds like the valve has seized internally someone has tried to move the lever and stripped a cog or the splines. A new service kit

And a Temperature controller should solve the problem.
