Leaking Shower - query need to replace Mira 723 cartridge

Since we had a replacement combi boiler installed our Mira 723 mixer tap has been getting stiffer. Now it is leaking from the showerhead even though the water is turned off. Looked up advice pages on internet and the suggestion was to replace the seals etc. Think we might end up with the same issue if we do not replace the cartridge. We believe that we currently have a gravity fed cartridge and that it could not take the additional water pressure. Now thinking about a new Mira 723 cartridge high pressure 902.70. Do we also require any silicon grease with this and do you think this will solve our problem? thanks very much

Replacing the cartridge with a high pressure one , and using silicon , should solve the problem.
