Mira 88 Fitted with a combi boiler?

I've had a Mira shower with a combi boiler for the past 10 years with the house from new build in the ensuite shower room that the wife uses and that I am not allowed to?! Had a look at the shower as the temperature control knob is ceased but wondering should I free up and replace internal workings or fit a totally new shower? I see here that this shower is not good with a combi boiler? Is there a reasonably priced option that is easy to fit but will suit the current tile situation? Thanks Martin

If your shower was only fitted 10myears ago it would be unusual for the builder to have fitted an 88 to a combiboiler.

Are you sure that you don’t have an88 Gem ( yes they do their best to make things difficult!)

The Gem is suitable for combi boilersand it sounds like you just need to replace the cartridge.
