Mira 88 mixer shower (post 1984)

Is this shower compatible with a combination boiler?

I've inherited this in my house and the cold water is overpowering the hot water producing a tepid temperature even when the control knob is hard over to 'hot'.

Anything I can do?

The 88 requires equal hot and cold pressures to operate. You have 2 options , one is to fit a pressure reducing valve in the cold supply to the shower and adjust it down to match the hot, the reducing valve can be ordered online by clicking on the first link below.
The second and ideal option is to fit a pressure equalising valve in the hot and cold supplies which automatically matches the pressures it can be ordered by clicking on the second link below.
