Mira 88 not tuning off

Hi,

I have the Mira 88 shower and I have recently fitted the service pack. I put the shower back together and had no problems for approx 2 weeks so thought all was well until now! The shower seems not to turn off properly. I have to turn the water off, take the shower apart and just put it back together and it works again once or twice and then it decides it wont turn off again! I presume it is not seating correctly or something but no matter how I put it back together, it still wont turn off! I hope you can help.

If / when it goes wrong the next time can you send some photos so we may be able to see what the problem is.

 

The normal problem with these not shutting off properly is the two small washers on the end of the plungers not seating properly or some dirt coming through and resting on the area where these washer seat.

 

Probably the other thing to check is that brass bush that was supplied as part of the seal kit is well greased, if it is not it can become sticky and it may well just not be turning the last few mm to shut the valve off
