mira 88 replacement

waterboard have upped our( CW ) area pressure to 3.5bar and our old Mira 88 is now running warm on a potterton combi system, it leaks and i fancy changing it for a Mira Excel, this looks a straight swop,is it ? and will this solve our new pressure problem , as it says it works at all pressures, i am assuming the 88 is not thermostatically controlled..... Cheers

There is no straight swop as the fittings dont match. You could fit PRV`s to the shower pipes to reduce the pressure. Or it`s new plumbing by the sounds of it.
