MIRA 88 Replacement. Installed 1988-89
I have a MIra 88 wall mounted shower that will no longer run cold, the hot/cold dial turns adequatelly, but the cold flow is cut completelly, making the shower unusable. As the shower is 21/22 years old, I am considering a repacement valve rather than a repair, but the supply pipes are concelled behinb the tiled wall. Therefore, could you tell me;
on a new valve, are the connection fittings the same (type and size) and are the hot and cold inlet centres the same.
If I have to alter pipes, I will have to remove the tilled wall.

Depending on how your existing unit is piped I think you would have to cut into the wall to replace your shower.

The other possibility is to replace the internals of your existing shower, by fitting a new internal set you are replacing virtually all the working parts.
You can also consider fitting a new knob set which will just make it look newer.
