Low Water Pressure

I have a Mira 88 (Post 1984) exposed shower with low water pressure on full hot or cold. The water pressure at the sink tap is much higher so I believe the problem is isoated to the shower pipework or mixing valve. Do you think a service kit will improve the water pressure?

With these type of showers , once you have checked that the head and hose are clear, fitting a service kit is the best next step.
