mira 88 service pack and scale

I live in an area with very hard water. My Mira 88 did sterling service for 17 or so years until three years ago when I bought a service pack (from you) and replaced the o-rings and other components. At the time I had a go at getting the tubes into which the little plunger seals go as clean as I could be bothered with some wire wool but I could have tried harder. It worked perfectly after that. Now it has started dripping sometimes again. Should i get another kit and try harder to remove scale ? or bash a hole in the wall and replace the whole valve ? (more aggro' but hopefullymore chance of another trouble free 15 years) .

Using wire wool is not recommended as it can damage the surface of the shower and cause leaks.
There is no harm in trying an other service pack , as this may solve the problem, and save you from replacing the whole shower.
