Mira 915B

Could you recommend a suitable tool for removing the screwed plug at the bottom of the Radatherm assembly (part 15 in the diagram)?

It has a very long narrow slot, tried a chisel but it doesn't fill the slot well enough to grip.

First hit the end of the cartridge with a hammer to crack any residue that is holding it in place. Then spray the area with some WD 40, which will help loosen it. Then use a flat piece of metal to turn the plate.
