Mira Advance ATL throws RCD

I replaced the PCB in our Mira Advance ATL about six months ago to fix a problem where it would suddenly switch into a constant cold water flow which could not be turned off except by cutting power to the shower.

After six months of normal use the shower has now started throwing the RCD. It will run on cold but as soon as we turn the heat up the RCD is thrown.

I have checked the resistance of the heater tank and it is 15 ohms which according to your YouTube video implies it is okay. Does this mean it is the PCB again?

The shower is 10 years old and we live in a hard water area. Is the shower worth fixing or would it be better to get a new shower considering this will be the second PCB in six months.

Hard to say without looking at it , but I would check the connections and the relay board for damage etc.

There is a transformer in this shower , but these rarely go wrong.

Maybe it is time for a new shower....and it need not be another Advance if you want something cheaper. Just something with the same inlet connections etc.
