Mira Advance Standard Water Surging

I have just noticed over the past week or so that the shower has started to surge when operating normally. At first I put this down to other appliances in the house taking water, like the washing machine, but I know this is now wrong. Normal shower use is set to high, and about 6 on the dial. Same thing happens when i set it to medium pressure. I have no service lights showing, so apart from this the shower seems fine. I suspect this will gradually get worse. What should I be checking for? Thanks for you help!

First check that the head, hose and inlet filter are clear. If so then it could be the flow valve is about to fail.
