Dripping from Base of unit

Mira Advance - Serial # 07GY1697 - With cover plate on drips (slow) from the base of the unit. Cover plate off, and shield covering inlet pipe removed, drips appear to be coming from the inlet side of the inlet valve. There is condensation on the cold inlet pipe and the sound of water flowing (similar to that made by a faulty ball-cock valve). Am I correct to assume that replacing O ring seals should remedy this situation?

Yes replacing the ‘O’ ring should do the job however the reason that it is leaking is more than likely that the pipe has not entered the inlet connector squarely and is consequently placing strain on the joint.

Unfortunately we don’t have that ‘O’ ring as a spare however you should be able to pick something up at B&Q
