On / off opposite flow control

Hi, My flow control works the opposite way than what the manual says it should. It’s meant to go off anti-clockwise. But instead it goes off clockwise. How do I change/fix this? Thanks Susan

This is an extract from the fitting instructions, " turn off the mixer by rotating either the hub or flow control (depending on model) fully clockwise. "
