mira cold water inlet?

Hi, my Mira excel shower fitted in 1999 is letting in too much cold water, cannot get a reasonably warm/hot shower unless we turn water pressure lever on shower on /off round pressure adjustment lever right down to almost closed on shower fitment.

Could you please advise as to whether this Mia Flow Cartridge 1663.117 is the correct item to replace. Kind regards.

Ifyou have problems with an Excel then it's best just to replace thecartridge,however it is probably worth stripping the cartridge out and checkingthat the inlet filters are clean, before buying a new cartridge.

Turnoff hot and cold water supply

Pullfront temperature knob off The rest of the knob assy. just unclips

Remove4 screws that hold cartridge into body

Pullold cartridge forward shouldn't be too tight

Setnew cartridge for High/Low pressure (instructions withcartridge)

Slipnew cartridge into place remember to check that the new seals are allin place (and don't drop out as you push back)

Tightenscrews be careful not to over tighten

Refitknobs.

Turnon water and test. (Occasionally you will have to reset the cartridgetemperature, instructions with cartridge)
