Cone shaped piece in the box that isn't on diagram

We have a piece that is cone shaped with a tail piece all moulders with an inner bore and grub screw in side of cone end all about 2 inches long total. Not sure what it's for?

This looks like some sort of adaptor to connect to the hose. is your hose complete ?

Im unsure what this part is then. It does look like an adaptor of some sort.

Is it the event XS thermostatic you have ?

If it is and the switch its self is working properly then It may be that the part of the button behind the front cover has broken which will mean a new front cover.

I don't think it belonged to the shower as , it is up and working ! Thank you for trying to help.

This maybe a long inlet spare. Your shower may not need this part.
