luke warm water on maximum setting

Hi My shower only has a luke warm output when on hot level 3. All other levels are cold. I have checked water pressure nearly 10 psi. I have checked TCO all seems fine. I have checked the inlet filter all clear. The heating elements give me resistance readings of 11 and 13. Not sure what else to check. Can you help please

10psi is not enough pressure to run a shower like this .You need at least 1 bar.

The things to check first are.

1 That the main valve coming into your house is fully open.

2 Then check that the valve on the line to the shower is fully open.

If these valves are not fully open then there may not be enough water getting to your shower to open/close the safety device that allows the power through to the elements.

Also check that your shower is connected to the water mains and you have a minimum of 1bar water pressure, although your pressure may normally be good it can often drop dramatically first thing in the morning when everyone is showering.

You could give your local water authority a ring an ask them what your water pressure should be, they will probably say that the supply a minimum of 1bar (the minimum required to operate a shower)however press them and ask what it is likely to be first thing in the morning (when everybody is showering)

Hi,

sorry I was supposed to type 10 bar. not 10 psi. so I think I have plenty of water pressure. I think I may have a problem with the micro switches. Do I just need to do a continuity test on them to see if they are faulty?

Regards

Daniel

If the pressure is 10 bar , then it may be that this is too high and need reduced to half this.

see the specifications in the above.

Or you may have a faulty flow valve.
