Water continues after turning power off - solenoid and valve replaced however the problem persists

Having replaced the solenoid and inlet valve assemply for new why does the water continue after the power is turned off? The water pressure appears fine and it was working perfectly until the water was turned off temporarily by the water company.

These flow valves need to be fitted in a particular way in order for them to work properly. Check that this is the case. If all is well , then you may have a faulty flow valve/ solenoid.
