This question is regarding Mira Azora/Sprint/Sport/Zest Thermal Cut-out (TCO) - 416.41

mira tco corrosion

The cut out suffers from corrsion caused by dezincification of the top of the brass top of the heater tank. The tco disc then goes rusty. Can I protect it, perhaps grease for example. The last 3 switches lasted on average 8 months becase of the problem.

The inside of the shower should be moisture free, check that the cover seal is not damaged.
