Fitting service kit

I stripped the shower out to fit new thermostatic coil and service kit as the temperature stuck on hot. Not able to dismantle the cartridge as the main nut is absolutely solid. replaced the O rings and washers as I was able and reassembled it, except it now has a leak when in use and the temperature adjustment is haywire again after 2 months use. Any advice please before I fork out for a new cartridge?

Inorder to solve your problems you really need to strip the cartridge down completely.

Using some hot water on the main nut may loosen it.
Also when refitting the cartridge the spaces in the grey sleaves need to accommodate the raised section in the body, which is shown near part 10 on the diagram, as this affects the temperature.
